Baby Boy card commission!

Why do people phone you up for a card and need it for tomorrow!!!!!!!!! Does this only happen to me!!
A lady I occasionally make cards for phoned me on Tuesday and wanted a card for Wednesday.
Now luckily I now have a "stock" design that I do for each type of card and this is my standard baby card that I do!!!

The card is made up of 3 hand cut tags tied together with the Stampin Up Striped grosgrain ribbon and Bashful Blue papers. I must say the Basjful Blue is perfect for Baby Boy cards!

Details printed on PC and edged with blue chalks

Train and bodysuit cut out from my New Arrival cartridge on the Cricut

I love that little train and bodysuit!!! Edged these with Bashful Blue ink.
Weather looks a bit miserable today and I don't feel 100% so I am going to try and take it easy!!!

Two challenges in one!!!

I just love these Greeting Farm images of the "teenage" style Anya's so I couldn't wait to colour one in that Vicki sent me!!
This card is for the Spoonfull of Sugar challenge which is Blue and Green!!!! I looked for a sketch challenge too and found the Isimaki challenge which was a sketch, never entered this one before but I loved the sketch so I thought I would use that one............ trouble was I didnt read further down where it said you had to use PURPLE!!!!! ARgghhhh I am doing a Diane!!! (you know who you are!!!)
Anyway colour combo is Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green and Green Galore. I have coloured the image with my Stampin Up markers which of course perfectly match the papers so no rummaging around for a colour match!!!

Papers are from the Rainbow Sherbert set and I have used the Circle of Friendship stamp set for the sentiment.

I love these retro flowers, they give the card a bit more dimension.

Had to share this with you before I go!! Ross, my 9 year old had his first rugby match for the school yesterday, it rained solidly!!!!!! This is what he looked like when he got home!!

And look at his leg, some nasty boy has studded his leg!!!!

GOod old MUm had a bath all run and waiting for him!!!

Very happy and 2 challenges!

OMG look what arrived this morning!! I have been thoroughly spoiled by the lovely Vicki!!!!!
Vicki, words fail me (for a change!!!), you are such a kind and generous person and I was gobsmacked when I opened this package this morning!!
From top left we have a gorgeous bag filled with a packet of Thorntons chocs!, a packet of Betty Crocker muffin mix!!!!, a fab card, a fantastice box filled with allsorts of goodies and then a wallet bursting with stamped images!!!
Vicki, you are a diamond, thank you so much!!
The colour scheme of Vicki's pressies inspired the colours for my card which I am entering into 2 challenges. The first being Stamp with Us, which was to use 2 patterned papers, 4 brads and 1 ribbon!!
Now you can only just see one of the patterned papers but I have used some spotty So Saffron papers on the scalloped nestie!!! The cupcake has been made using Stampin Up punches and I will post a tutorial on it very soon for you!
Background stamped with the Seeing Spots stamp and then I have used my Oval punches with the Oval All set

Sarah B inspired me to use the brads as topping on the cupcake so I have used 4, it could have done with 5 but I didnt want to disobey the rules!

I am also entering this card in for the Papertake Weekly challenge which is to use Spot and Stripes!!!

Bye for now folks!

Mini magazine file!

Oh what a deary day today, raining solidly!!!!

Here is a little magazine file which I got from an American blog but I cannot remember which one!!! Sorry!!! I made this for one of the girls in my team, Sarah B! Sarah has recently been promoted with Stampin Up and I always send my girls a card but seeing as Sarah is the 3D queen I thought I would try this!!!!
The photos are a bit naff, it was a very bright day when I took these and I have tried playing about with them but they still arent right!!! You get the idea - right????

Following on from my theme from my class last week I have made 4 3x3 inch mini cards and envelopes to fit inside using up the scraps from the card class and the stickers from the kit! Added a couple of little felt flowers from SU to one of them!

Stamped the envelopes to finish the gift off!!!

Well done Sarah, hope you likey!

A Day in the life of my card class!

Good morning everyone!!! Lovely Sunday weather again today and I am rehearsing indoors from 2 - 6 this afternoon!
Yesterday was my Roll on Summer card class, these are the projects we made (which I am sure you are sick of seeing on my blog!)
I had 14 lovely ladies attend who I want to thank very much, especially the ladies who came to my class for the first time, thank you!
OK so you know me by now, I like to bake handmade cakes or buns for the class, yesterdays offering was oversized butterfly buns! I was going to make standard size ones but I thought what the heck and I made muffin size ones!!!!!!

This is what my kitchen looked like before I loaded the car up!!! The black holdall is full of stamp sets and punches!!!!

Here are all the project bags filled with the pre-cut card etc that the girls needed!

I thought I would share with you the projects made by my youngest ever class attendee, Jenny, who is 8 years old!! She came with her Mum but would not let Mum help her with any of it!!!! Well done Jenny, I think you did fab!

Now I was also a very lucky girl yesterday! You see the cupcake obsession is growing, and people keep bringing me stuff which is fab and I so appreciate it!!! The lovely Angie knitted this Cupcake for me!! How sweet is it!! Its in my craft room, thanks Angie!

And the Fabbie Eileen bought me this gorgeous cupcake snack tray!!! I love it Eileen, what a kind thought, thanks so much!!!

Well I was exhausted last night but had a fab time, I did take a picture of the ladies crafting but I got the impression they didnt want me to take it!!!!!!! So I thought I better not post on here!!
Right off to watch Ross in his first cricket game of the season

Chocolate and Blue wedding!

Well wedding season seems to be well and truly here in my house, I am snowed under with wedding orders and have couples getting married most weekends now until the end of summer!
I always like to make my couples a wedding card to match in with their scheme and to thank them for their order, they have to be simple though as I ususally leave them to the last minute!
This is a card I made for Jo and Andy who tie the knot tomorrow! Their colour scheme was Chocolate Brown with cornflower blue. I have used some of the ribbon that I used in their stationery to link the two!
The stamp is Stampendous I believe as is the sentiment, its a nice simple one that looks effective stamped in many colours. I have used Chocolate Chip designer papers and Close to Cocoa card, and the scallop edge punch!
Sentiment punched out with the Oval punch and layered up with the Scallop Oval punch!

I have added some stickles for a bit of bling!!

I hope they like it and most importantly, I hope they have a wonderful day!

Right got to dash, need to finish prepping for my card class tomorrow, got 14 lovely ladies and one lovely 8 year old coming so its going to be fun fun fun!

Plain white gift bag makeover!

As part of Saturdys workshop I will be giving the ladies a plain white gift bag ( fantastic price at 3 for £1.95 and very good quality) and asking them to decorate it how they want to!
I have stamped mine with the flower from Best Wishes and More in Pumpkin Pie. This set is great as it matches the Petal Party Scrappin Kit! I have then added some Adhesive Die Cuts from the Kit. Stamped a sentiment from Best Yet and punched out with my tage punches and added some ribbon!

Very quick and easy to do and I hope you will agree it looks great especially if you team it up with one of the cards we are making!

Another sunny day today - Yippeeee!

Bright and Cheery

What a gorgeous day it is this morning!!! Feels like July! Lets hope it stays like this!
Here is another card we will be making on Saturday!! I went all out on this one and its very busy and bright! Its a joy fold card using the Simply Said stamp set.
I have randomly stamped the card in the background with different flowers from the same set using a colour conbo of Pixie Pink, OLd Olive, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie!. The flowers are from the Simply Scrappin Kit called Petal party. Used my trusty Circle of Friendship set layered up with the circle punches and the Scallop Circle punch.

Inside the card I have used the Frames with a Flourish set to use as a place to write your message.

Back tomorrow with another class project!

Roll on Summer!!!!

On Saturday I am holding a class called Roll on Summer during which we will be making 4 projects with a bright and summery theme!

Here is the first project, a criss cross card using the Simply Scrappin Kit called Petal Party. I did make one like this a few weeks ago but I have re-vamped the design!

I have used the textured cardstock from Stampin Up which is very similar to Bazzill and available in multi packs! The sentiment is from the fab Oval All set and I have punched this out with my oval punches.

Inside I have stamped the lovely sentiment from the Occasional Greetings set and the flowers from the Best Wishes and More set!
I will show you the other projects during the course of the week!

Bind it All mini book!

Today I am at rehearsal for 5 hours so no time for crafting, boys are back to school tomorrow but I washed and ironed all their uniform and PE kits the day after they broke up - don't I feel virtuous!!!
Here is a little mini book I started at Sarah's on Friday and finished off yesterday at home. It is made with 2 coasters and covered with the Summer Picnic papers in Bashful Blue and Old Olive. Sarah had cut some sliders out of chipboard and kinldy gave me some which I covered with the Old Olive and added my initial behind!
Then I simply added some gorgeous ribbons on the binding to jazz it up a bit! I am going to use this for all my little notes and shopping lists (craft stash of course!)

Hope you are having a Happy Sunday!

Stamp with Us challenge 2

Here is a last minute entry for the Stamp with Us challenge blog. You had to simply make a birthday card this time so here is mine which is being written as we speak as Ross is going to a party in half an hour!
The boy whose party it is, is a Mancheter United fan so plenty of Red on the card and no Blue I thought!!!! I have used my All in the Family set and also the Accesories set for the balloon and the football!
His name has been stamped with the Schoolbook serif alphabet and I have cut number 10 from the cricut and mounted onto white card and scalloped it with Real Red. The papers are real red and are from the Level 1 hostess set which you can earn if you host a workshop.

Grass is using my Old Olive markers. Buttons are from Sarah's stash as I made it at her house!

Right must dash, still got pressie to wrap!

Cupcakewatch 2 and a fantastic day!

Gosh the sun has been shining today and I am such a happy girl!
Yesterday I received a lovely parcel from my friend Sally who had kindly sent me this fabulous gift. I told you people keep seeing cupcake things and sending them to me!!! Its an absolutely huge mug shaped as a cupcake case which includes some cupcake mixture a spoon and some sprinkles to decorate it!!!!!! Thanks Sally I love it so much. I had a drink from it last night and it took about 20 minutes to drink it!
Today the boys and I have been to visit one of my good friends and downline Sarah
Now to me Sarah is the queen of 3D projects!!! She makes stunning items, please check out her blog and leave her a comment, she will really appreciate it!
I turned up today to do some crafting with Sarah, and what a session we had, I felt fully inspired by Sarahs projects when I saw them in the flesh! So she picks up a bag and gives it to me and says this is for you, I have been having a little play last night!! A LITTLE PLAY!!!!! Look at the lovlies she made for me!! She knows how much I love my Sweet Always papers and cupcakes and look at it all!

This is a desk top organiser which Sarah made from one of the Timeles templates I think, hope I am right! It is fantastic and will have pride of place in my craft room!

Then inside it was this fantastic little book made with the Bind It All, look at those gorgeous ribbons and the clever use of brads on the cupcake!

AND THEN...... as if that werent already enough here is a little heart gift she made with 3 of the most fantastic mini cards and envelopes inside!

Here are the cards!!!

Sarah... I love them love them love them!

Look at all those gorgeous brads she used!!!

So there I was very inspired so I decided to make one myself using colours inspired by the Summer Picnic papers and using the Tart and Tangy stamp set!

The little cards tucked away inside!

3 dinky cards with matching stamped envelopes!

The cards measure 6.5cm square

I also made a little bind it all book and a card but this post is already far too long so I will show them another day!

Sarah - thanks for such a fabulous day honey!!! Can't wait to come back!!
